1. Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us by a clear statement (e.g. email or phone call) before the cancellation period expires.
Cancellation period: 14 days from the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods.
2. Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- Unused, uninstalled, and in the original condition you received them
- In the original packaging with all labels, tags, and accessories intact
- Returned within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation
We reserve the right to reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value if the goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, or functioning.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless they are faulty or not as described:
- Parts that have been fitted, installed, or modified in any way
- Electrical items that have been connected or used
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Items marked as non-returnable at the point of sale
- Goods that have been mixed inseparably with other items after delivery
4. How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us first:
Please include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason. We will then provide you with return instructions and a return address. Do not send items back without contacting us first.
5. Return Shipping Costs
Unless the item is faulty, not as described, or incorrect, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit back to us.
If the item is faulty or we made an error, we will cover the return shipping cost or arrange collection.
6. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome by email. If approved, your refund will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. Refunds are issued to the original payment method:
- Shopify Payments / card — refunded to your card (allow 5–10 working days for your bank to process)
- Klarna — your Klarna balance will be adjusted and any pending payments cancelled or refunded
- Clearpay — your Clearpay instalments will be adjusted accordingly
Original delivery charges are refunded only if the return is due to our error or a faulty product. If you received free shipping, no delivery refund applies.
7. Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs where possible. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to:
- A full refund if reported within 30 days of receipt
- A repair or replacement if reported after 30 days but within 6 months
- A partial refund may apply for faults found after 6 months if the fault is proven to be inherent
8. Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you need a different product, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order.
9. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't received your refund within the expected timeframe, please first check with your bank or card provider as processing times vary. If you've done this and still have not received your refund, contact us at Info@fifty9performance.co.uk and we will investigate.
